J. Cole “Cole” Brewer's practice encompasses representation of the DeSoto County School District, probate and trust administration, wills and trusts, real estate, title insurance, corporate law, contracts, and general civil matters. Through his broad-based practice, Cole serves individuals, families, businesses, and public-sector clients throughout Central and Southwest Florida.

A native of Arcadia and a graduate of DeSoto County High School, Cole earned his Bachelor of Science from Florida Southern College, where he focused his studies on Citrus. While attending Florida Southern, he was an active member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity.

Cole earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law and has practiced law in Florida since 2017. He began his legal career in Lake Placid before an opportunity brought him home to Arcadia, where he could serve the community in which he was raised.

In 2020, Cole partnered with Eugene “Bucky” Waldron Jr. to form Waldron and Brewer, P.A. The firm later became J. Cole Brewer, P.A., continuing Cole’s commitment to providing legal services to clients in Arcadia and the surrounding communities.

Cole remains actively involved in his hometown through the DeSoto County Chamber of Commerce and the Arcadia Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation.

Outside the office, Cole enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, hunting, fishing, and caring for his German Shorthaired Pointers and Boykin Spaniel.

Attorney Jillmarie Gendreau is an Associate with the firm, focusing her practice on family law. She has been a member of The Florida Bar since April 2019 and represents clients in a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, alimony, timesharing, paternity, child support, post-judgment modifications, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.

A Punta Gorda native and graduate of Charlotte High School, Jillmarie earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in 2013, double majoring in Social Work and Family and Child Sciences. She later earned her Master of Social Work from Fordham University in 2014 and her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 2018.

Jillmarie began her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in Tampa, where she worked in the Mental Health Division and specialized in Mental Health Court, Veterans Treatment Court, and Baker Act proceedings. Her background in social work and litigation provides her with a unique perspective in navigating the complex and personal issues that often arise in family law cases.

Jillmarie is an active member of her community and the legal profession. She is a member of The Florida Bar Family Law Section, the Charlotte County Bar Association, and the Italian American Bar Association. She is also a 2024 graduate of Leadership Charlotte and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Charlotte Behavioral Health Care, as well as the Charlotte County Bar Association.

Having grown up in Southwest Florida, Jillmarie is proud to serve families throughout the community she calls home. She is committed to providing her clients with practical guidance, compassionate counsel, and strong advocacy during some of life’s most challenging transitions.
